Drip

by

Adam Gilson

drip from me
like sweat
on hot days
and burning nights

you'll seep in
to
my clothes

the permanence
rewards
when i pile
them up
to
sleep on

you are there
swimming
beneath me
as i float
on seas
of memories

and
could
i just
could
i just
wear
just
wear you
where you
are?

cause right now
it seems
you're worn thin
and i
have
a
clean
closet
