Peace

By

Alexander Palana

In war, peace is nowhere.
Soldiers think they
will find it everywhere.
War is a bad thing,
at least to me.
I try to tell someone,
but adults think
I'm too young to see.
When the war is over,
it will be my favorite day.
It will take all my sadness
and pain away.
When I see all the dead,
I start to cry.
I wonder why war
has to be around
to make people die.
I love peace, yes, I do.
I hate the words "I hate you."
