V-day...

by

Alice Sarmiento

This valentine's day
I spend alone
With no one to love
Or to call my own

I look at the love
That goes through the air
But no love for me
Now isn't life fair?

I guess it's okay,
I've done this before
But maybe this year
i wanted something more

I look for the meaning
To find "What is love?"
Is it some special force
That comes from above?

Or is it on earth
Amongst in us all
Somewhere it's hidden
Inside of these walls?

Wherever it is
I guess I don't care
I guess I will never be
Part of a pair.

So I'll just move on
And be with my friends,
Because after all
That's where it transcends.
