The Creature of Passion

We were stranded in our greed,
Drowning in the emptiness,
Crying out for the creature of passion,
Desperate in our hearts,
For survival was moving further and further away,
We were crying in our misery
And the creature of passion came down,
And we were entwined with love,
Our souls wreathed with the eternal flame of forgiveness,
And we forgave,
And we loved,
And we survived.
