Him, Me and the Sea

The calming effect of the ocean must be magnificent,
The way the gulls fly over his head,
I always wondered what it'd feel like 
If I wasn't already dead.

The object of my affection
is the rolling waves of the sea
These things are truly beautiful
much more than you or me.

The ocean waves that tumble round
and wash people out to sea
Are truly luxurious boat rides
Or that's what they are to me

Imagine being him, riding the waves
with no worries at all in the world
I study him and the way he behaves
with the water source of our world

As he glides along and his hair flies back
I wonder if he's different
Different from the playground boys
who muck around and fight,
Different from the tarty girls who stay out late at night

I think he must be different
his calming nature shows
That if you need to know anything of the sea,
It will be him that knows...
