Wind

by

Callie Nguyen

A wispy wind, off in the distance, nearer it comes to me

I feel it run it's fingers through my hair.

Goosebumps break out across my skin as I feel it caress

my body. I shiver with delight.

How I would love to run with you, seeing the wonders and

breathless sights you see.

How'd I love to be with you always... but a dream it is.

You are too fast, too far.

I can't keep up with your pace. Sadness fills the empty

void inside of me

I wish always to be by your side, but a hopeless

desire… an inevitable want

I can't be with you, because you are the wind, and the

wind is nothing but a mere shape… a feel… a hope…
