A Life Like Everyone's!

by

Cesar A. Miranda

I'm the one who can hate it all, I'm the one who can't stop lying,
who has trouble with everyone, who can't stop making those mistakes,
I'm the one who can't stop this suffering, the one who can't change his life,
'cause it is too late to change the way I was born, it's too late to change the way I am,
I'm the one who suffers every day, the mistakes I've made in the past,
the errors I make in my present, the ones I will in my future do,
this is my life hating it every second, in pain every time I blink,
waiting for nothing but only trouble, to get punished and go back again,
how can you call this pain life, if what I only do good is suffer,
knowing I'm nothing but a piece of dirt, who came from under people forget things.

How can you call this a life if I can't live,
the way I want, without suffering from inside,
what can I do to make this pain disappear,
to get all these things out of my heart,
what can I do to make this life a better one,
to stop this pain, my nightmares, stop crying,
and dream again, of a life like everyone's.

I'm no one and everyone's mistake, I'm what people forget about,
what they don't bother saying, forgotten left behind,
Alone lying in my misery, watching others with their smiles,
wanting them to reflect their happiness on me, on my lonely heart,
and bring me what I am seeking - a life like everyone's.

How can you call this a life if I can't live,
the way I want, without suffering from inside,
what can I do, to make this pain disappear,
to get all these things out of my heart,
what can I do, to make this life a better one,
to stop this pain, my nightmares, stop crying,
and dream again, of a life like everyone's.

Deep inside of me, there is someone,
Some one who wishes to live,
Deep inside of me, waiting,
a soul who wishes to awake, awake.

What can I do, to have a life like everyone's
to stop this pain, come back out feel alive,
what do I need to do, to live like you and them,
to have a reason, to dream every night,
maybe one day, a reason I will have,
to smile again, for being here at this time,
maybe I will, have a reason to live,
and have a life, a life like everyone's.
