Without Words

by

Cesar A. Miranda

Without words,
That’s the way I feel,
Trapped in my own thoughts,
Not being able to speak.

Without words,
That’s the way I live,
Here I’m trapped with myself,
No one can listen to me,
Without words.

Throughout the day,
All by myself sitting down,
With nothing but my thoughts, my emotions,
My invisible words,
Quietly I loudly scream.

Without words,
That’s the way I live,
Here I’m trapped with myself,
Begging for sound to my thoughts,
Without words.

Crying,
Hearing voices in my mind,
Locked deep inside,
Fighting to get out,
And with the wind fly,
But only to get pulled back,
And deeper get stuck,
In the cage that gave them life,
And die.

Without words,
That’s the way I live,
Trapped in my own thoughts,
Not being able to speak.
Without words,
Trying to look up,
'Cause I would like to scream at the world,
But I would only hear myself,
I’m without words.

Nothing else,
Gives me strength to fight,
Not to even try to make myself be heard,
All my words get lost in the dark.

Without words,
Wishing to squeeze the world,
And drip it down my throat,
To let people know I’m here,
Without words.
Without words.

Crying,
Hearing voices in my mind,
Locked deep inside,
Fighting to get out,
And with the wind fly,
But only to get pulled back,
And deeper get stuck,
In the cage that gave them life,
And die.

Crying,
All these words that come to life,
I have to let them die,
All these thoughts in my mind,
Getting lost trying,
To get out but again,
They get lost and die,
No there is nothing I can to this,
But hide.

Every day,
I ask myself the same question,
How can I take it?
I can’t understand.
Maybe it is,
That there is no answer to my question,
But only keep,
These words to myself.

Without words,
That’s the way I live,
Trapped in my own thoughts,
Not being able to speak.

Without words,
That’s the way I live,
Here I’m trapped with myself,
No one listens to me,
Without words.
