Kids Today

by

Chantel Rasmussen

We let our kids

play in the streets

forget hockey,

and soccer meets

our kids will do drugs any way

why stop them they'll start today

we were born with minds of our own

why bother, leave us alone

don't tell me

I'm naive

cause I'll tell you something

you don't know me

I'm smarter than the average adult

making my way through this screwed up world

don't tell me that I lie

come on I wrote this didn't I?
