My Child

by

Cinnamon Brown

Why do you think you have all the power
I was in labor for 14 hours
You may buy him material items
But when he is sick I am right here beside him
Why is it when people ask his name or age
Immediately you take center stage
Bragging and Boasting
Ranting and Raving
Showing them baby hair that you have been saving
I give him all that he needs
Not everything he would please
When he looks in the mirror it is me he sees
not you and no other
just me his mother
