Why.... I Mean How

by

D. A. Williams

Proliferations of anger
Will come from the mind
When you look at your past
And all that you find
Is the broken promises
From the boyhood years
When you stayed awake at night
To cry the lonely tears
Or the dreams you had
That never made it to light
'Cause you started work at thirteen
How is that right?
The opportunities gone from life
At such an early age
How do I let the fire inside die
And extinguish the rage?
Your Book says to forget and forgive
When I say why
What I mean is how?
All that I want
Is to happily live
The only problem is
That I want it right now!!!
