      Fly me away on your fragile wings,

      On the gentle breezes of the morn;

      Flutter about in the warm brilliant sun,

      Your flight in the air like a dance.

      Lightly rest upon the flower's petal,

      And partake of its refreshing scent.

      Drink deeply of its sweet nectar,

      Nature's nourishing droplets.

      Your colors are of the Master's palette,

      Brilliant hues, tones, and textures.

      Painted upon your wings like the canvas,

      That receives the artist's brush-stroke.

      Fly away, to a faraway place,

      A place that lives in my dreams.

      Where brilliant sun warms, and refreshing breeze cools;

      A place with a friendly smile

      Oh beautiful butterfly, fly me away
