My "Perfect"

My life is a treasure that I have been blessed with,
and now that I have found it,
too many maps exist.
Long ago choices never seemed so hard.
I colored in the lines and followed in the footsteps
of those who already climbed their kindred stairs.
Who knew life could be so wonderful as to allow each person his own dream.
From the dew drops of rain to the golden rays of sun…
From cherries to blueberries it is all in good fun.
The smiles of life lie in many hidden packages,
and the memories of yesterday
hold true to always last.
I stand today unaware of tomorrow,
but thankful that no matter what road lies ahead,
the path will be full of many refreshing colors of rain…
And all the many blossoms that flourish from those sweet tears,
will only make the path
more than just a journey.
For now I search for my path
the one that is my "perfect"
and awaiting my stand.
