The Bliss of Fair Labour

by

Ehsan Elahi Ehsan

The still evening is the fruit of my noisy day
Thanks God that the fair labour
Of earning my hard earned livelihood
Throughout the day with no rest
Comes to a blissful end.
My eyes are loaded with soft slumberous weight
Of dewy sleep promising me the sweet dreams
Of a peaceful night of a broad day light
When I will go to work again
With no harm to any body.
When I would be again lost into the din
Of busy and fatigued life
Bringing me a sweet and dreamy night
Providing me a sight of the hard day
And making me hopeful of my bright future.
