The Old Men and the Thinkers

by

Ehsan Elahi Ehsan

The old men and the thinkers
Sleep little but enjoy
A profound slumber
When they dip themselves
In the river of their imaginative thinking
And see the things, not with physical eye
But with an insight
Making themselves aware
Of the experiences
Of suffering human beings
They create a world of their own
And tell to the world
Things astounding and fascinating
Their wisdom,
The precious gems, with all its shines
Guides people through the pitch darkness
The gods of physical power
Cut their shining fingers
When their glorious stars
Make these thinkers
The real contributors of humanity.
