There is No Room for the Wind

by

Ehsan Elahi Ehsan

The mists have become so heavy
That there is no room for the wind
To pass through. The mariners,
Since their birth till today
Have been waiting in the pitch darkness
Of night, for the morning to come
But there seems no beam of light to be visible
The voyage is however continued
Because to be still is to be defeated
Hope the greatest blessing to mankind
Never leaves him even for a moment
And in the pitch dark he can imagine
The arrival of a good day
Full of light when every thing will
Seem to be all right and the promised land
Will be visible to console man
And shake off all those miseries
That he had been experiencing
This glimpse of hope might be
Only a sort of dream yet it is a dream
Which is to be dreamt of
To take man out of the mist
In which he has fallen.
