We Lose our Real Happiness

by

Ehsan Elahi Ehsan

People go on worshipping
But without meditation
Required by all religions
To make human mind
Peaceful.
It is through meditation
That the human soul
Comes into contact
With the Supreme soul
And makes man aware
Of the fickleness of life.
But alas! We lose our real happiness
At the expense of material gains
The supremacy got by weapons
Leads man to brutality
And reverses the process of civilization
Thus human life is made cheaper
Than a grain of sand
And is blown in the wind
The power gods enjoy their victories
And boast of themselves
As the builders of
High castles with human skulls
Real man is left in the lurch
And the mechanical part of man
Begins to reign
Creating a world
Full of confusion and chaos.
