A friend is someone who loves you
Unconditionally not looking for your faults
But seeing the good in your heart
A friend is someone who really cares for you
When you are in trouble she will comfort you
Ever willing and ready to take your part
A friend is someone who wants to share with you
Your sadness, your joys and your laughter
And to encourage you when days are dark
A friend is someone who enjoys your company
Whether it is to see a special show or just a walk
A walk on a sunny day in the park
A friend is someone who listens to you
When you are troubled and feeling down
She will not try to run your life
But let you talk until you see it straight
If you grieve she will cry with you
She will be there for you in any strife
