My Second Daughter

by

Jack Mann

God blessed me with one little girl

Why I do not know

Then He blessed me with another

Not too long ago

What does a person do

To deserve such a great thing

To have a wonderful addition

In our old family ring

A good wife and mother

These things she’s always been

But also a good daughter

My heart she’s sure to win

So thoughtful and considerate

Beautiful, and with love

She can call down all the angels

From the heavens up above

Yes, God has been very good in all

With another daughter you see

Who loved my son from the beginning

Truly a blessing for me!
