Civil War

By

Jessica Dawn Clingempeel

It happened, it went.
It was the Civil War.
Millions of brave soldiers died to save their country.
It was a tragic thing but it happens anyway
To see a loved one go.
Why is there wars I will never know!
It occurred in 1861 and didn't end 'til 1877.
Slavery ended right at the end.
But what makes a war last so long?
A lot of cowards who just didn't belong.
