What To Do Late At Night

by

Jessica Summers

what do i do
what will seem right
when late at night
i find you are gone
no tears will come
too confused to feel
all i can think is how you knew
who i was by only a picture
i will always remember
the smile on your face
when you saw us walk in
and you knew who we were
if only for a day
it was worth the distance
the frustration and anguish
we all now feel
no one is mad at you for leaving
we all understand
and are glad you could wait
to see us all once again
before you left to make new friends
