Needing Time To Come Around

by

Jonathan Isenor

You sit across from her
Staring deep into her eyes
Tears falling down your cheeks
As she says good-bye to you
Things weren't working

You sit in a daze
Unable to respond
Finally you snap back to reality
You feel the pain in your heart already
She tells you to leave

As you walk home
You can't help but feel ripped apart
When you arrive home and tell everyone
They say it'll get better
You refuse to listen

Instead you go to your room
Lock the door
Get into bed and lay awake thinking about the relationship
You wake up everyday thinking about her
As months pass

You wake up one morning
But you feel different on this day
You feel much better
As you sit up
You realize that sometimes people just need time to come around.
