Reflection

by

Jonathan Isenor

When you look in the mirror

Do you like what you see?

Knowing what you have done was wrong

That you shouldn’t have walked out on your family

You know deep down that it was a mistake

But can’t find it in yourself

To go back and fix it

You walk away from the mirror

The guilt eating away at you

Like a lion ripping at it’s prey

As the years pass

You find yourself feeling worse

Still you can’t find it in you

To go back to your responsibilities

This time as you walk away from the mirror

You look back one last time

And you realize you don’t like what you see.

Never Again
