Paths

by

Melissa DeMedio

The dark,
The light,
Two paths to their height,
Both are good,
But both are bad,
Which to take may be quite sad.

The dark the hollow,
Spirit of night,
The light the guide,
Caressing bright.

They fork to an end of mixed delight,
Which is where the hollow meet the bright,
And soul guides; to the darkest night.

Of which direction,
To turn to fight,
Either way,
Is the right.
