One Look

by

Nicole Higginbotham

so I looked
as if to catch
those intriguing eyes
at my best
but my guard
was overturned
for in those eyes
wisdom burned
and to the very hidden truth
I was stricken
with my youth
and still I pondered
what I felt
could still be given
still be dealt
and though the age
a bridgeous gap
I failed to halt
and keep it trapped
with one kiss
upon the cheek
I saw her sigh
knees go weak
and the contace
of her skin
tasted like
forbidden sin
caught up still
not a race
we moved it to
a long embrace
curiousity standing by
I moved my hand
upon her thigh
breathing vibrant
in the air
we pulled clothes off
until bare
as opposition
grew so near
it grew intense
and layed so dear
as the sweat
hit my brow
we started to
settle down
so intertwined
upon the bed
we went to sleep
head by head
