It's near dusk, and the room is empty
      The way I like it . . .
The open window allows a breeze to flow lazily in
The curtains dance upon its arrival
      The lights are off
      But the sun shines in
Golden ray pouring heartily into the room
The only sound is from the clock
      Hanging obediently on the wall
      Whispering her ticks and tocks
      To preserve the beautiful silence
The woven rug is warm where the sun lies
So I stretch out on the floor and close my eyes
My heart steadies at a calmer pace
As the glistening dust particles gently descend
There is nothing but stillness around me
      And peace
But, oh, how short-lived it is . .
