One Heart

by

Rusty Broadspear

When we reach our destination

And have nowhere to go,

When we lie alone together

And stars tumble down like snow.

When we feel each other's skin

With the tendrils of our mind,

And discover in our eyes

All that there is to find.

When we share a gentle kiss

And the very first embrace

When we both declare our love,

So close and face to face.

When time itself stands still,

We'll recognize this start

Of our futures, both in concert,

Sharing one beating heart.
