Relationship Rebirth

by

Rusty Broadspear

Let's take it from where it is
Forget what we've seen or where it's been
Let's grasp the carrying handles
Guide it between us
Down new paths of assorted emotions
Sail untravelled oceans
Sip fresh sweet and sour potions
Let new horizons find us
As flowers fall behind us

Let's nurture it to rebirth
Forget its history and past lives
Let's grasp the carrying handles
Share it between us
Walk heads up and proud, to expectations
Unsullied revelations
Taste charming aspirations
Permit new fates to acquire us
Forbid times that may tire us

Let's foster its growth anew
Forget the time it grew unsound
Let's grasp the carrying handles
Show it new destinies
That life can be a continuous smile
Strut together in style
No more deep rooted trials
Allow no one to disband us
But be happy and understand us
