August Moon

by

StacyAnn D. Lazowski

On a warm night in August, a lonely beach sighs

By the light of the moon, two strangers meet

Brought together by a force unexplained

The rhythm of the waves plays on.

The beauty of the night surrounds them

They stand toe to toe, uttering not a sound

Their eyes connect, such volumes spoken

A fire ignites; their souls in-tuned.

A gentle breeze swirls at their feet

Nature weaves Her gentle magic

Whispering promises of perfect love and perfect trust

They feel Her presence within their hearts.

The moon shines bright on this Blessed night

Dare they touch and break the spell

Or shall they continue to be

Nothing more than strangers in the night
