Slowly

by

T L Taylor

Slowly my mind condenses

Around one thought

Slowly a picture begins to form,

A negative develops

Again it is you, again I ask why

It is not good, it is not right

Still, there you are; still, you fill me

I know you love, I know you think

Of someone else, and not me

Why then do you consume?

Why then do you condemn?

I did not choose, I did not ask

Still, there you are; still, you fill me

Last thought, first thought

Even almost every other thought

I cannot keep you out

You will not let me in

Slowly my mind condenses

Slowly a picture begins to form

Slowly I will drift away

Slowly you will forget I exist

Slowly I will be no more
