Whispers in the Dark

By

T. "Mondo" Heart

Hands are alive
Through my head and my mind
I talk but not loudly
Not outside myself
My mouth doesn't move
And alone I hear
Hearing makes it harder
You say knowing makes me stronger
I am wise to you
But you know nothing more than me
My descriptions awkwardly fumble
The point, I miss
Though my tongue keeps rummaging through my thoughts
Trying to sense what I'm saying and though I stop
I keep going
And you're playing with my emotions
Unlike open seas of devotion
You stand in my fire and ask me for a lighter
And I wonder if you're the voice inside my head.
