And I am Left All Alone

by

Uzma Sadaf

It seems to me today

As if I did not have any relation with this diary

As I had never written any thing on it

As if I never knew how to write

I have an old relation with diary and these papers

So old that even my fingers did not know this reality

So old that my spirit was still in the process of creation

But then the time came

All the passions began to die

My inside gradually became empty

The shallow and weak body began to crack

The heap of dust began to scatter in the dust storms

And I was left all alone.
