If I were Worthy of It

by

Uzma Sadaf

How little am I in my own eyes
I am even nothing.
If I had been worthy of you
I wish you had just struck me with you feet
Thinking that I was a stone on the way
If I had been worthy of you
If you had a glance over me
While passing on the way
Then I think that I would have been a thorn
Embracing your lap
You would have removed me with your hands
Then thrown me away
If I would have been so!
If I would have been worthy of you any way
But alas! I am quite worthless.
I Am Not Worthy of You In Any Way.
