It Is The Matter of Only Yesterday

by

Uzma Sadaf

It is the matter of only yesterday
That you were my own
You belonged to me and me alone
My world was very beautiful
I used to think
That I had found the joys of the whole world
I was really very happy
It seemed
The creation of the world had been completed
By our mutual existence
I lost my way on the paths time and gain
I decorated my doll in my thoughts
I made it to wear red scarf
I put myself in place of the doll
I made the he doll sit with her
And God knows from how many angles I saw her
Then I used to look to myself
Then I laughed
What was all this
It is the matter of only yesterday
There was a curtain of one night between
Then the place of the doll changed
Nothing has happened
Only the time has passed
The doll is now in the cupboard
The creation of the earth is complete even today
There is only one thing wanting
There is a pricking in the dream
A picture has broken in the inner mirror
And its pieces are scattered every where.
