My Impact

by

Zakai Robbins

I am writing a poem.
It does not rhyme.
The pen moves across the paper,
Leaving it’s mark there, the only mark it leaves on the world
Small impact.
We leave our marks in other ways.
Like pens on paper, we leave our impact on the world wherever we go.
That was a simile.
People use them a lot in poems.
If you read this,
I just left my mark on you.
Small impact.
